The estate, historically an olive farm, has been under the stewardship of the same lineage for over a century and a half. The family embarked on a journey to revitalize the hacienda in the early 1990s when they converted it into a boutique hotel. This endeavor breathed new life into the establishment, preserving its rich heritage while introducing modern luxuries. Today the Hacienda radiates a laid-back, bohemian energy, offering guests a sense of home away from home. Its intimate setting encourages disconnecting from the outside world, while the shared terraces overlooking the central courtyard become the perfect backdrop for a tranquil breakfast. Heaven.

The Hacienda de San Rafael boasts a variety of accommodations. 11 cozy rooms are situated around the typical courtyard. These accommodations are uniquely structured across two levels and benefit from a close access to two of the estate's swimming pools. An additional pool is available to those staying in one of the three detached casitas, each boasting its own private garden and a traditional thatched outdoor area for relaxation and dining, known as a choza. A six-bedroom private villa complete this offer with nice panoramic views of the countryside. All rooms, casitas and villa are adorned with local crafts and wooden furniture from Zimbabwe and Rajasthan, too. Each space is uniquely designed to reflect the hacienda’s rustic charm and Andalusian heritage, providing a comfortable and immersive stay.

The Hacienda offers an exquisite dining experience with its restaurants. From traditional Andalusian cuisine to international dishes, the chefs use locally sourced ingredients to craft meals that delight the senses.
